‘Withdraw Charges Against #Endbadgovernance Protesters’ – SERAP To FG

SERAP, Tinubu and malnourished protesters

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the Federal government to release the detained #Endbadgovernance protesters.

The human rights group also tasked the FG to withdraw the charges slammed against them.

Edum News reports that, SERAP made the call on Friday following the collapse of a minor protester during arraignment today at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Reacting to the development in a statement shared on it’s official X handle, SERAP demanded that President Tinubu’s administration must promptly investigate the ill-treatment of #EndBadGovernance protesters in prison and prosecute those responsible.

SERAP wrote: “The Tinubu administration must promptly investigate the apparent ill-treatment of #EndBadGovernance protesters in prison and prosecute those responsible. The administration must immediately and unconditionally release those detained and drop all charges against them.”
