President Bola Tinubu has postponed the federal executive council meeting over the ongoing nationwide protest.
The meeting was later held in a closed-door meeting with the heads of security and paramilitary agencies at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting is said to have the vice president, national security adviser, all service chiefs, the inspector general of police, the comptroller generals of customs and immigration, and the chief of staff to the president.
Sources suggest the urgent meeting may be connected to the ongoing nationwide hunger and hardship protests, which have been fueled by youths gathering across the country.
The president had earlier on Sunday called for dialogue and an immediate end to the nationwide protests that have rocked the nation since Thursday.
