The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima has described President Bola Tinubu as the most demonized politician in the country.

He made this claim while speaking in Abuja on Thursday.

Shettima revealed that although Nigerians despise Tinubu, but said his home in Maiduguri is superior to his Bourdillon mansion in Lagos.

He reassured Nigerians that Tinubu is a good Nigerian with genuine intentions for the nation notwithstanding his demonization.

The Vice President claimed that Tinubu is a leader that Nigerians can trust as he is not in office in order to accumulate fortune.

He said: “I’m not playing politics, I’m speaking from the heart. I have seen the soul of Bola Tinubu, and he has a good soul.

“He means well for the nation. He wants to live in a place of glory. He is not in power to engage in primitive capital accumulation. He is the most demonized politician in Nigeria.

“The first time I went to his house at Bourdillon, I was looking forward to seeing a mansion comparable to Buckingham Palace, with gardens and swimming pools, but there was nothing special about that house. My house in Maiduguri is better than the house in Bourdillon.”

He urged Nigerians to support the President in his efforts to address the country’s sociopolitical, economic, and security issues, assuring Nigerians will soon begin to reap the rewards of the strict measures put in place.
