President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday congratulated the newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump on his victory at the poll.
Edum News reports that Trump was declared the winner of the election after he secured a total of 70,940,657 votes, while his closest rival, the Candidate of the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris got 66,025,623 votes.
Reacting to this, Tinubu congratulated the 47th President of America on his election in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
In the statement, President Tinubu noted that Trump’s win is an opportunity for the two countries to continue to partner for progress
He said, “Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens.”
