A few of the protesters who were protesting in the streets of Alausa, the Lagos State capital, were attacked by thugs armed with machetes, sticks, and other weapons.
According to the reports, protesters who refused to go to the court-approved protest site in Lagos—Freedom Park in Ojota, were attacked when they assembled at the governor’s office in Aluasa.
Reports claimed that when the thugs got closer, protesters scampered for safety while law enforcement officials allegedly observed without taking necessary action.
