Super Eagles Star, John Ogu has hinted on the next club that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will join, saying it will be a Premier League team.

Osimhen has drawn interest from Paris Saint-Germain, as well as London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Despite investing the dough on numerous new summer recruits, Chelsea are still looking for a new striker after Nicolas Jackson’s disappointing debut season at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal still want to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s team before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month, despite scoring 91 Premier League goals last season, five fewer than champions Manchester City.

According to reports earlier this week, Arsenal has renewed its interest in prolific forward Osimhen and is eager to compete with Chelsea for the Nigerian player.

Arteta has been pushed to recruit a new striker to provide competition and backup for Kai Havertz, and Osimhen, who has 76 goals in 133 Napoli appearances, would undoubtedly be at the top of the Spaniard’s wish list.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, Chelsea is still thought to be at the top of the list to recruit Osimhen, and Ogu has hinted that a move to Stamford Bridge is imminent.

Ogu has frequently posted messages of support for Osimhen on social media, most recently declaring, ‘Osimhen is trending, and he’s trending for good. I’ll be rooting for you wherever you wind up, star boy. ‘I love you.

Ogu’s close acquaintance with Osimhen suggests that he may have inside information about the striker’s transfer status.
