Kingsley Moghalu, a former Presidential Candidate under the platform of the Young People Party (YPP) has called for an end to the conversations about Kemi Badenoch’s identity.
Edum News reports that the Nigerian economist said this in response to the ongoing controversy surrounding the UK Conservative Party leader.
It can be recalled that Badenoch’s rise in British politics and her recent comments distancing herself from her Nigerian roots have sparked debates within Nigeria.
Reacting to this in a statement on his official X account on Sunday, Moghalu said, “Even if she were to become the UK Prime Minister tomorrow morning, it would have absolutely ZERO implications (or benefits even) for Nigeria and Nigerians.
“So why all the fuss? Nigerian leaders and Nigerians should fix Nigeria’s problems. “Claiming” Kemi or her “denying” Nigeria won’t solve them.”
