Alan Smith has described Super Eagle’s Star, Wilfried Ndidi’s performance against Tottenham as a sensational outing.
Ndidi helped Leicester City draw 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
Spurs took the lead through Pedro Porro, but Leicester City Captain James Vardy equalized for the hosts.
In the sixth minute, Ndidi made an incredible clearance off the line to prevent Spurs from grabbing the lead.
Smith, who was running commentary for Sky Sports, commended the experienced Nigerian midfielder for his brave effort.
He was quoted by the BBC as saying “That was a sensational clearance from Wilfried Ndidi off the line. It really was,”
The Super Eagles midfielder played the entire game. He made 57 touches, completed 79% of his passes, had one shot on goal, won four of his eight ground duels, the only aerial duel he fought, and made four clearances and two blocks.
