Simon Ekpa, the Popular Biafra agitator and leader of the Biafra Government in Exile (BRGIE), has reacted to the Nigerian government’s move to facilitate his extradition from Finland.

Recall that the Defence Headquarters (DHQs) said on Tuesday that the Nigerian government is now negotiating with the European Union to extradite Ekpa.

Major General Edward Buba, DHQ Director of Defence Media Operations, responded to Ekpa’s announcement that the Biafra Republic’s map presentation and official proclamation will take place on December 2.

In response, Ekpa, also known as the Prime Minister of BRGIE, issued a statement on his official X handle on Wednesday urging Nigerian government leaders to attend the next Biafra Convention in Finland.

Ekpa claimed that by attending the convention, he would have the opportunity to discuss his push for the freedom of Biafra with Nigerian officials.

He emphasized that the legality of the Biafra Government in Exile is confirmed by the Nigerian government’s persistent calls for the European Union and Finland to act about his extradition.

“We are inviting them as Nigeria representatives and observers. The government of Biafra will recognize their presence in Finland and an opportunity to engage Simon Ekpa on the podium for a debate on Nigeria.

“We are inviting Major General Edward Buba to the convention and a special accreditation card is already approved for him.

“The constant call by the Nigerian government on the EU and Finland to take action against me only confirms the legitimacy and potency of the Biafra government in Exile and the Biafra de facto government in the homeland. We will bring Biafra from exile,” he claimed.

The Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, was also invited by Ekpa to the proposed Biafra conference, which he stated would take place in Lahti, Finland, from November 29 to December 3, 2024.
