In order to stop the further spread of the sex tapes of the Director General, National Financial Investigation Agency, Baltasar Engonga, the Government of Equatorial Guinea has imposed restrictions on the usage of WhatsApp.
Edum News gathered that citizens of the country can no longer share or download multimedia files using WhatsApp.
The development is following an order by the leadership of the country to telecommunications operators to implement measures to stop the further spread of Engonga’s sextapes.
The move by the government of Equatorial Guinea to restrict WhatsApp has sparked various conversations among the people of the country as some are kicking against it on the grounds that it would disturb their productivity.
Recall that the 54-year-old was under investigation for fraud which led to an unannounced raid of his residence and office, where officials discovered over 400 CDs containing recordings of his sexual escapades with over 400 women.
