The APC Chairman in Rivers State, Emeka Beke has stated that Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport, remains the party’s leader in the state, Edum News Reports.
He stated this in a statement issued on Thursday and made available to the press.
According to the chieftain, Amaechi may seem to be silent concerning politics nowadays but he is still a significant influence and an active member of the APC party.
He dismissed rumours that the former Governor was no longer politically active, particularly at the state level.
His statement read in part: “Amaechi is still the leader of the APC in Rivers State. It is impossible to discuss the history of politics in this state, especially regarding the APC, without devoting an entire book to Amaechi’s contributions”.
