A young girl has captured the attention of internet users after joining fellow Nigerians to protest on the streets of Lagos.

The girl, in her tender age was seen carrying a poster and protesting among other Nigerians.

According to accounts, the small youngster joined the demonstration since her family could no longer afford to send her to school or pay rent.

She said, “My Name is Emmanuella, I am here to protest because the government needs to reduce the price of things. My dad can’t afford my school fees and house rent. Also, Nigeria is no more like before, now if I want to buy a biscuit for 50 Naira they will say it’s hundred.”

Netizens who came across videos and pictures of the girl protesting have tagged her as a hero who wouldn’t be forgotten so easily.

Others shared that they had been wholly inspired by her acts and others promised to join the protest because of her courage.
