Osun Man breaks Guinness World Record

The Guinness World Record has officially recognized Ajao Samson from Osun as the new world record holder for the longest marathon read aloud.

Ajao shared the exciting news on Facebook on Friday.

In his post, he wrote: “I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God, my family, friends, and an indefatigable team for making the big dream come to reality.

“Today, I was confirmed as the new world record title holder for the longest marathon reading aloud by the Guinness World Record. I am glad to be an advocate for literacy development.”

The Iwo town native and former student union president at Osun State Polytechnic, had earlier attempted to break the record in May 2024.

He read aloud for an impressive 214 hours, aiming to set a new record for the longest reading session.

His hard work and dedication have paid off, earning him a place in the Guinness World Record book.
