The youths of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo State have vowed to mobilize support across the state to deliver over two million votes for their party’s candidate, Governor lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 election.
The event, which held in Akure, the state capital, saw hundreds of youths from all 18 local government areas participating as they marched through the streets brandishing banners showing the governor and his deputy, Olayide Adelami.
Addressing the rally, APC South-West Youth Leader, Comrade Lawal Olarewaju, highlighted the governor’s efforts to engage and empower the state’s young population.
“It’s a solidarity walk for our governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for the fact that he has succeeded in engaging our young people, he has succeeded in partnering with the development of Ondo State to achieve Ondo of our dream and dreams of our forefathers. He said
“He has empowered young people, created job opportunities for unemployed graduates, and taken steps to cushion the effects of unemployment through various palliative measures.”
Comrade lawal Olarewaju also praised Aiyedatiwa’s recent appointments, stating that 70 per cent of the positions went to young people, a testament to the governor’s dedication to involving youths in governance.
“It’s a sign of the fact that he is willing to partner with us and we are equally resolved to mobilize two million votes of young people in Ondo State for him,” he added.
Olalekan expressed optimism that if re-elected, Governor Aiyedatiwa would prioritize reducing unemployment and further expand opportunities for young people across the state.
