Old tweets of Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect in the latest assassination attempt on Donald Trump, from June 2020 has resurfaced.
The suspect opened fire at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Despite the rounds fired, Trump was unharmed because the US Secret Service identified the perpetrator promptly, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The tweet shared in June 2020, Routh wrote: “@realDonaldTrump While you were my choice in 2106, I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving; are you retarded; I will be glad when you gone”.
Recall that a similar attempt was made on the former President’s life during his campaign in Pennsylvania making it a two time attempt on the ex-presidents life. The US Secret Service has said the investigation is ongoing.
