Peter Okoye of the defunct legendary Nigerian music band P-Square, has finally spoken up about the group’s split and his ongoing feud with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

He stated, “I’m tired of being disrespected and belittled by my own brother.

“I have always used ‘we’ and ‘us’ to refer to P-Square, recognizing our collaborative efforts, while Paul only uses ‘I’ and’me,’ downplaying my contributions. It’s like I never existed.

“I’ve written and co-written many hit songs, including ‘Get-Squared,’ ‘Bizzy Body,’ ‘Personally,’ ‘Roll It,’ ‘Temptation,’ ‘Alingo,’ ‘More than a Friend,’ ‘Shekini,’ ‘Say Your Love,’ ‘Gimme Dat,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘IGBEdu,’ and a few others. Were these songs considered failures? Why does he always focus on his own contributions and discredit the others?”

Peter expressed frustration with Paul’s claims of being the sole songwriter, composer, producer, and singer of P-Square, stating, “It’s as if I’m not part of the group. I’m the one who has been disrespected, marginalized, and humiliated.

“You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me.

“I genuinely wish him nothing but the best, bro! I hope he’s happy now. I just want to focus and do my music in peace. Please allow me to focus and do my music in peace. I understand that some people believe these lies and false narratives and come to my page to drop negative comments, but I wish you nothing but the best”.
