Manchester City is considering signing Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi to replace Julian Alvarez, who recently joined Atletico Madrid for £82 million.
The club is still weighing their options and will only make a move if the right player becomes available. Furuhashi has been impressive, scoring 73 goals in 135
games and winning seven major honors under former manager Ange Postecoglou.
Manchester City has also been connected with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, another youngster they adore. However, it is uncertain whether they will pursue Kyogo or Eze, as the club is adopting a cautious approach to the transfer window. Kyogo’s contract with Celtic continues until 2027, after he signed a new four-year deal last summer.
If Manchester City decides to make a move, they must negotiate with Celtic and match the player’s valuation.
Kyogo’s impressive goal-scoring record and experience make him an excellent addition to Manchester City’s roster, but only time will tell if a deal is reached.
