Noni Madueke has apologized to Wolverhampton fans over his ridiculous post against the club after scoring his third goal on Sunday.

Chelsea defeated Wolves 6-2 at Molineux on Sunday, giving the winger all the room he needed to score a 15-minute hat-trick.

Madueke, who has 991,000 followers on Instagram, was made fun of by the home fans right away after making an insensitive joke about the city in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Wearing the blue stripe of Chelsea, Noni Madueke smiles as he launches the ball into the air with his right hand and then glances up at it.

The 22-year-old Madueke immediately removed the post—which revealed his location as Wolverhampton—and apologized during his post-match interview.

“I just want to apologise to everyone that I might have offended. It’s merely an accident, a human error. That wasn’t intended to be shared in such a way on my social media. I apologize; I’m sure Wolverhampton is a pleasant town.

“It was a mistake and you learn from those things. Hopefully nothing like that happens again.

“In terms of the boos, I expected it but it is part of the game. You have to be able to play under that sort of pressure”.
