Napoli and Galatasaray have agreed to sign Victor Osimhen on a one-year loan.
The Nigerian international was unable to finalize a transfer to Chelsea just before the English transfer window closed, and as a result, he missed out on a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, “Napoli have accepted a straight loan proposal but with no option to buy, and Galatasaray will cover about £10m of his salary.” It’s unclear whether Osimhen will approve the move.
Napoli has confirmed that Osimhen would not be reintegrated into the squad following a lengthy transfer saga that saw Romelu Lukaku brought in as a straight replacement for Osimhen.
