Human Rights Lawyer, Dele Farotimi has been granted bail in the sum of N30M million in the alleged defamation of Afe Babalola case against him, Edum News reports.

The bail was given by a magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Friday.

This was made public by the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, in a statement shared on his official X account on Friday.

According to Sowore, the bail conditions include a N30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must be a property owner), the submission of his passport, and a restriction on granting media interviews.

He wrote, “The Kangaroo Magistrate Court has finally granted @DeleFarotimi bail, subject to the following conditions: a 30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must be a property owner), submission of his passport, and a prohibition on granting media interviews. The Struggle Continues!”
