Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an invitation from CNN to participate in a presidential debate on October 23.
She expressed her willingness to accept a second debate and hopes that former president Trump will be willing to join her.
The campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon in a statement said that the ex- president should have no problem agreeing to the debate, as it is the same format and setup as the CNN debate he attended in June.
He said: “Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate. It is the same format and setup as the CNN debate he attended and said he won in June, when he praised CNN’s moderators, rules and ratings,”
Trump who had earlier stated in a Truth Social post that a second debate between him and Harris would not take place, after his debate with Harris in Philadelphia earlier this month. Saying that Harris’ call for a rematch is proof of him winning the first fight.
He had also accused ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis , for what he claimed was a biased approach during the debate.
However, Trump campaign has not responded to or made a comment on the request.
