Former Real Madrid player, Takefusa Kubo has revealed Kylian Mbappe’s ideal position on the pitch.
The Japan international player shared his thoughts on the Spanish club’s new signing.
Mbappe who joined Real Madrid from PSG in the summer, following a lengthy transfer saga scored on his debut as Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup.
In the league, however, he went scoreless in the first three games as the club achieved just one win and two draws to begin their La Liga season. He however, scored twice for Los Blancos in a 2-0 victory over Real Betis, marking his first league goals.
According to Marca, Kubo believes that Mbappe’s slow start in La Liga is due to his role as a no. 9 winger. And that his team Real Sociedad suffers more with the Freanchman on the wing than at centre-forward, and hopes things doesn’t work out for him tomorrow against his club.
“We suffer a lot more with him on the wing than at centre-forward, at the moment in La Liga I think the same thing is happening and hopefully things don’t work out for him tomorrow against us.
“The best thing for us is that he doesn’t play on the wing because I see him as almost unstoppable”
Real Madrid is to face Real Sociedad in LaLiga Matchday 5.
