Amidst the nationwide protest against hunger and bad governance, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, was seen on Thursday afternoon at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Minister is said to have arrived at the President’s office in a black Toyota Prado SUV at about 4:00 p.m. local time.

As of the time of writing this report, the subject of their conversation is still unknown, although it is almost certainly related to the current demonstrations taking place across the nation with the country’s capital among the states that the protests seem to have been hijacked by hoodlums.

Edum News reports that the Minister had earlier extended his invitation to people opposing President Bola Tinubu’s administration to engage in conversation, stating that the government is prepared to hear their concerns and explain certain aspects of governance that they might not be familiar with.

Wike made the call while introducing the FCT’s four recently appointed chiefs to the staff of office today.

He had also praised the FCT demonstrators for their nonviolent actions and asked them to keep up their resistance against those who seek to ruin the country.

While warning against violence in the FCT, the Minister noted that the nation’s entire economy would be affected if violence breaks out in Abuja.
