Chelsea continues to hold negotiations with Victor Osimhen and his team, but they still need to persuade the striker to join Stamford Bridge late in the transfer season, according to football. London.
However, he is not the only possibility under consideration, and other players may emerge before the deadline.
Osimhen remains outside of Antonio Conte’s Napoli team as all sides attempt to arrange for the 25-year-old to go.
The 2022–23 Serie A champions defeated Bologna on Sunday, despite Osimhen not playing. This victory came after a humiliating 3-0 loss in the Coppa Italia previous week.
The Nigerian is still a target for the Blues, but there is still work to be done on his pay. Under the ownership of Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital, Chelsea has simplified their payment structure, but they still haven’t figured out a method to accommodate Osimhen.
It is thought that there are still a lot of obstacles to be solved before the deal can fit the existing structure. The club will also consider other options, should they become available, in the event that a transfer is not feasible.
