Enzo Maresca, Chelsea coach has played down talks of his side winning the English Premier League, saying the club isn’t ready for the title win.

The West London side sit in the fourth position behind table leaders Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

They have been in excellent form in the domestic league thus far, winning four games, drawing one, and losing 2-0 to reigning champions Manchester City in the season’s first match.

Despite his side’s estimated 67% victory rate, the Italian strategist believes it needs more time to maintain balance after three months in command.

“Competing to win the PL? I really don’t think we can compete with Man City or Arsenal now. We are not ready.

“Man City worked with Pep for nine years. Arsenal, five years. Us, three months…”. “The target is to slowly, slowly… get closer [sic],” a tweet by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X.com read Friday afternoon.

Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer have both contributed 10 goals to the Blues EPL campaign.

Palmer, 22, bagged a record-breaking four goals in the first half in their 4-2 win over Brighton at the Stamford Bridge.
