A meeting was scheduled on Thursday by Napoli and Chelsea to negotiate a deal for Romelu Lukaku.
The Serie A club made an official bid for Lukaku on Monday, but it was not approved, according to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
However, the offer is being considered with terms and conditions, and both sides are confident that a deal will be reached.
Both teams will strive to finalize the deal for Lukaku before attempting to find a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who is scheduled to depart Napoli.
Romano wrote on X:
“Napoli will meet Chelsea today in London as they want to get the Romelu Lukaku deal done even before finding a solution to sell Victor Osimhen.
“Official bid sent on Monday, not accepted but being discussed with terms and conditions… as Napoli want to get it done.”
