The official website of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has been hacked, Edum News reports.
This was made public by the NBS in a statement on it’s official X account on Wednesday.
Speaking in the statement shared on X, the NBS revealed that it is working on recovering the website.
It therefore urged the public to disregard any information that comes from it for now.
The post read, “This is to inform the public that the NBS Website has been hacked and we are working to recover it. Please disregard any message or report posted until the website is fully restored. Thank you.”
It is worthy to note that the NBS uses its website to publish crucial statistics concerning key sectors in the country.
