Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, will be out for around a month after suffering an injury on his calf during training on Friday.

According to Spanish media, Jude Bellingham was diagnosed with an injury on his muscle in his right leg following tests conducted by their medical team.

In lieu of that, he will miss La Liga games against Real Valladolid, Las Palmas, and Real Betis, as well as England’s Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland in September.

Madrid in a statement said:

“Following tests carried out today on Jude Bellingham by Real Madrid’s medical team, the player has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg,”

Coach Carlo Ancelotti also told a press conference earlier Friday that “(Bellingham) took a knock, we’re evaluating it,”

Last season, the midfielder helped Madrid win both the Champions League and La Liga.

After playing in a more advanced role the previous season, Bellingham moved to center midfield in Madrid’s opening two games this season to accommodate the arrival of striker Kylian Mbappe.

Bellingham, 21, hopes to return for Madrid’s first Champions League encounter of the season, which will take place between September 17 and 19.
