Famous Nigerian comedians and actors, Ay and Basketmouth have settled their differences after 18 years of a strained relationship.
The duo on Wednesday shared a skit on their Instagram to promote the release of two movies from both parties.
Basketmouth could be seen in the video, seeking advice from AY after discussing with Nolywood veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD.
This is the first time the two had worked together since 2006, when the beef began.
The feud between the two has lasted over a decade, beginning from a debt that AY Makun says Basketmouth owes him.
In a March 2023 conversation with prominent media personality Chude Jideonwo, AY discussed an incident from his early career.
He claimed that Basketmouth had asked him to stand in for him at a comedy gig.
However, following the performance, AY claimed that despite the fact that the event organizers had already paid Basketmouth N30,000, he refused to pass it on to him.
Basketmouth declined to comment on the accusation. He also indicated his intention to never speak to AY again.
Basketmouth’s new film “A Ghetto Love Story” will premiere on November 22nd, while AY’s film “The Waiter” will be released on December 20th.
