Asisat Oshoala will square off against former FC Barcelona Femení colleagues in an international friendly on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. as Bay FC hosts the Catalans.
This is the first time the six-time African Women’s Player of the Year will face her former club since joining the NWSL in February.
As Oshoala and her Bay FC teammates take on the reigning Champions League winners, who are making their third trip to the United States, it should be an exciting match.
They have just finished a flawless season in which they won Liga F, the
Copa de la Reina, the UEFA Champions League, and midfield star Aitana Bonmatí was named the Ballon d’Or Féminin.
Oshoala and other Bay FC players will bring their own honors to the pitch, including several NWSL championships, FA Women’s Super League crowns, Liga F titles, and more, paving the way for an iconic clash of elite talent.
Between 2019 and 2024, Oshoala, 29, scored 85 goals in 101 matches for Barcelona and won five Primera División, three UEFA Women’s Champions League, four Supercopa de España Femenina, three Copa de la Reina, and one Copa Catalunya.
