Arsenal is set to take Manchester United to court over the young player Chido Obi-Martin’s move.

According to football journalist Christopher Michel, Arsenal believes that Obi-Martin, the talented young player in the Gunners’ academy, has made the proper transition to the Red Devils.

But as his Gunners contract had already run out, he was free to sign with any team, and Manchester United showed interest.

Because of the player’s age, United was required to pay the Gunners a fee, according to an earlier report from The Athletic.

The Premier League’s approval process has to be completed for the 19-year-old’s transfer. The two teams had anticipated reaching an agreement without going through the legal system, but things aren’t working that way right now.

The Journalist wrote on X: “Although Chido Obi Martin’s contract at Arsenal has expired, I heard that MUFC can’t just sign him on a free transfer.

“Very complicated… He is therefore only training individually and has not yet been presented. Possibly this will go before a court”.
