Nigeria’s Super Eagles played a goalless draw in their 2025 AFCON qualifying match against Rwanda, bringing their points tally in the group to four points.
The match which took place in Kigali, had Amavubi dominating the opening minutes of the match. However, Nigeria took control with Ademola Lookman causing problems for the hosts’ defence.
Lookman’s goal was saved by Rwanda goalkeeper Ntwari Fiacre, and his teammate Victor Boniface hit the woodwork nine minutes before the break.
Despite Super Eagles Coach Augustine Eguavoen making some changes in the second half, the match still ended goaless. Nigeria remains top of Group D with four points after two matches.
The team, in a post on their offical X account after the game thanked fans for their support and look forward to their next matches in October.
