Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has sought the partnership of the Federal Ministry of Works regarding some Federal Government roads rehabilitated by his administration.
A statement by the spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo on Friday, said Adeleke made the request during a visit to the Minister of Works, Mr Dave Umahi, in Abuja.
Adeleke while seeking for further intervention said his administration had embarked on multi-billion naira infrastructure projects which include flyovers, the dualisation of roads, and the construction of some major roads across the state.
He narrated that his administration has constructed over 150 kilometres of roads since his assumption of office, including the 1.5 kilometres per local government in the state.
Olawale also said the governor briefed Umahi on some of the projects already completed by his administration While commending the minister for his bold approach in the road sector
Responding, the minister assured the governor of support and partnership in the management of federal road corridors across Osun State even as he acknowledged his proactive approach in the road sector.
