Adedibu, Adebise become FCMB’s new board members

Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adedibu and Ademola Adebise have been appointed to the board of directors of First City Monument Bank Limited.

In a statement released by the bank on Wednesday, Adebise was hailed as a reputable member of the Nigerian financial sector, and Adedibu was described as a recognized attorney with extensive banking and legal practice expertise.

According to the statement, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will approve their appointment as non-executive directors of the bank.

Adebise, a seasoned banker with more than thirty years of experience, was named chairman of the Family Homes Funds Limited board of directors and held the position of managing director at Wema Bank Plc.

He graduated from Lagos Business School with an MBA and the University of Lagos with a B.Sc. in computer science. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He has finished executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Cambridge, among other esteemed schools.

The lender claims that Adedibu, the FCMB Group’s group general counsel and corporate secretary, has around 32 years of post-graduation experience on the board.

He holds a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, a Master of Law from the University of Lagos, and a Bachelor of Laws from Obafemi Awolowo University.

She started her legal career with the law firm of Chris Ogunbanjo and Co., where she garnered much experience in litigation, company law, copyrights, and patent laws, before joining the banking industry.
