Controversial Nigerian Singer, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri, Imo State.
Edum News reports that the singer was arrested at his show upon returning back to Nigeria.
Confirming his arrest, his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, in a post on his X account on Wednesday morning revealed that Darlington was arrested in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
He wrote, “Our client Speed Darlington, a.k.a. AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.”
The singer’s lawyer however did not reveal why he was arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force.
Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested on October 4 by the Nigerian police for allegedly cyberstalking Afrobeats singer, Burna Boy.
He was, however, released on bail on October 9 after spending five days in detention.
