Miss South Africa Withdraws From Miss Universe 2024 Over Health Issues

Mia Le Roux, the recently crowned Miss South Africa, has withdrawn from the Miss Universe competition due to health concerns. 

Her withdrawal was made public in a statement by the Miss South Africa Organization, on Friday.

According to the beauty queen, making the decision was not an easy one but she has to do it for her health.

She also appreciated all her supporters from South Africa, adding that she is grateful for the opportunity to focus on her recovery, adding that this will enable her serve her country with full strength.

She stated, “Making this decision has been incredibly challenging, knowing the dreams and hopes that have been placed upon me. However, I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so that I may continue to serve my country with full strength.”

Edum News reports that the Miss Universe preliminary competition kicked off on Friday in Mexico City, with previous winners R’Bonney Gabriel of USA and Sheynnis Palacos of Nicaragua as hosts.

The coronation night will be held on November 16.
