Israel government has announced that Iran launched over 180 missiles towards its country, escalating fears of a regional war.

The attack which occurred late Tuesday with parts of the missiles felling in Jordan, a country between Iran and Israel, has led to millions of people scampering for safety.

The Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has stated in an address while announcing the attack declared that they would retaliate and Iran would pay dearly.

Meanwhile the Iranian state TV confirmed it had indeed fired 200 missiles towards Israel, including hypersonic weapons, in retaliation for the killings of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders.

In reaction, the US President Joe Biden has said that the attack was “defeated and ineffective,” as the US Department of Defense forces had helped shoot down the missiles in support of its Middle East ally.
