Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has described Vinicius Jr. as the potential player to win this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The much anticipated event announcement is set for October 28.
Ancelotti told the media that he believes Vinicius Junior will win the 2024 Ballon d’Or due to his effectiveness in the Champions League, scoring in the semi-final and final.
He said: “I think so [Vinicius Junior will win the 2024 Ballon d’Or], thanks to the effectiveness he had in the Champions League, scoring in the semi-final and the final,”
“I think he will win it. If he doesn’t, we’ll move on.”
Madrid’s Vinicius Jr, along with other teammates, has been shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, having scored 24 goals and 10 assists in 39 appearances last season.
