Nigerian billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has made history as the first Nigerian to host the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly.
She is the second daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and a prominent disc jockey.
Cuppy served as the moderator at the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, titled “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
She also gave a musical performance following her keynote presentation and her session was the largest youth gathering in UN Headquarters history.
José Maria Neves, the president of Cape Verde, and the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs were among the other notable attendees at the event.
