Ukraine has banned its government, military and security officials, from using Telegram, Edum News reports.
The Ukrainian council disclosed this in a statement on Friday, stating that it is for the sake of national security.
The council noted that the app which was founded by Russian-born Pavel Durov, posed a threat to the security of the country.
It stated, “The National Security and Defence Council decided to restrict the use of Telegram in government agencies, military formations and critical infrastructure facilities”.
