Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, has caused a stir by supporting a peaceful protest during the nationwide demonstration against bad governance.
The billionaire businessman and senator Ned Nwoko’s wife offered her thoughts on the statewide demonstration that began on August 1, in a video that she posted on her Instagram page.
According to Regina Daniels, it is widely recognized that the country’s masses are suffering and long for a better way of life, which is why there is a nationwide protest.
However, she negated violent protest, saying use of violence undermines the very objective of the demonstration.
She also called on Nigerians to embrace peaceful protest to ensure that the voice of the people is heard and acted upon.
The video which she captioned, “a plea for a peaceful protest,” have been sparking various reactions among netizens on social media.
