Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, has caused a stir by supporting a nonviolent protest during the countrywide demonstration against poor government.
The billionaire businessman and senator Ned Nwoko’s wife offered her thoughts on the statewide demonstration that began on August 1, in a video that she posted on her Instagram page.
According to Regina Daniels, it is widely recognized that the country’s masses are suffering and long for a better way of life, which is why there is a nationwide protest.
However, although protesting is fine, violence is completely unacceptable. The use of violence undermines the very objective of the protest. She also called on Nigerians to choose peaceful protest to ensure that the voice of the people is heard and acted upon.
The video which she captioned, “a plea for a peaceful protest,” have since been sparking various reactions among netizens on social media.
Reacting to this, an Instagram user, @stanleysmingo stated: “You dey inside your house dey advise people, your head nor correct.”
Also, @ghost_series said: “Talk to your husband first. He’s part of the bad governance.”
